WORKSHOP:
WAX RESIST

Wax resist is essentially a simple process, but with some forethought and planning can produce some strong and lively results. A clear wax (such as candle) is laid on paper. Paint is then applied, which does not take to the waxed areas. One colour can be used to good effect or, when dry, additional wax and colours can be laid. This requires some thought as the order of colour and position of wax either does or does not allow the colours to overlay.
"A cocktail glass and apple. Monoprint and wax resist"
"I used tippex underneath the paint and used a roller over it"
"You start by drawing what you want. Then you get a candle, surround the drawing and paint that. Do it all over again but with a different colour"
