WORKSHOP:
MASK MAKING

3D mask-making is a challenge. First a base is formed (tin foil is good for this as maleable) which must have the correct contours and proportions. Strips of pva wetted paper are then laid upon the base in varied directions for stability. Then paint can be applied preferably (but not necessarily)  in a lifelike mannar so lessons of colour mixing and self-portraiture may be embraced. It is alot more difficult to do well than one would imagine, but as with pottery good fun for all and rewarding even for the beginner.
