Eventually, and after much struggle, my approach adapted to this challenging new format; The central area benefits by undulations of the colour with varying weight of brushmark. Sandwiched between lighter toned cool fleshy hues, a thickly brushed deep violet works particularly well against the strong magenta dots beneath. This large central area is lifted by the yellow base glowing through.
