Turquoise base - thinly stretched to showcase. Buff blobs. A neutral grey was then laid, over which madder lake deep could take on a cooler and more complex feel. A heavily brushed cobalt violet deep hue partnered the red adding variation to a dark base for the lighter toned lines, in a delicious and successful combination drawn from the last "Songs" painting of rich warm fleshy earths.
Splashy and bold this small scale painting has alot of force, is enjoyable and full of fun.
