A return to translucency in the centre, allowing the textured underpainted layers to shine through. This central glowing area seems to advance from the more solid and opaque blue corners, hence the title. Where the beautiful central green lies on a brushed yellow area it is tiurned towards the yellow end of the spectrum - a characteristic which is picked up by the opaque yellowy green blobs which are dotted from a height.
