Painting as painting should be. Notice the bold but subtle combination of blue lines and strong green dots. The way at top the base orange peers through the scoured swirls of blue, blending into a dark green. Very strong band of dark blue confidently stands to be seen yet politely allows previous lines to be in places remembered.
This piece started a long time previous; it has been transformed by new approach and integrating within the "band" series. Some of the previous painting still stands, but the rest simply serves as bumps and lumps on which the now finished top layers lie.
